DOWN MEMORY LANE
If you've come this far holding each other's hands, I don't think you have much stock-taking to do at the end of your memorable sojourn. All you need to do is to thank the lord that you've been able to be there with each other, whatever the going may have been like, whatever ups and downs you may have been through.
I think, at the end of the day that is what really counts. Now's the time to sit back and enjoy each other's company, to look back on life and feel grateful for all the good moments that you've been lucky enough to experience together.
The times which were wrought with worries, the times when you failed to stand by your spouse unconditionally, the times when things did not go according to your expectations now seem to be eons away. All that matters is that you are still together, and this is the time when you mostly need to be with one another.
This is the time when the little ones are so busy catching up on their own lives that they may not be able to find time for you. It's best to accept that in a matter of fact way and let them get on with their lives. After all, you do have each other, don't you?
IS THIS MR. RIGHT?
Well, not all of this comes easily to all of us. Not all of us are lucky enough to find Mr./ Ms. Right at one go. But that should not dishearten you. As someone once said, you may have to kiss a lot of toads before you find Prince Charming. That is true. Sometimes you may feel that this is the person whom you truly love, this is the person without whom you cannot live one more minute, this is the person for whom you've been waiting all your life…and then, something happens and the magic is gone! You wonder what had made you feel that here was someone you wanted to share your life with? With some people, this realization may come when it's almost too late, but not too late.
You may realize you're wrong when you are at the altar, about to take your vows! So, what do you do then? Never be afraid to back out! Do remember that this is the most important decision of your life. And if you look around, you might spot the right person, waiting patiently in the wings, for the cue to deliver his dialogue! And you let out a gasp! Hey! Why didn't I notice him? He's the ONE!!!
